Lisa began her career as a middle school social studies and mathematics teacher in the Quad Cities. After six years in the classroom, she moved to Iowa City to pursue a master's degree and later a doctoral degree. During her graduate studies, she supervised student teachers and advised and taught education majors. Upon completing her doctoral coursework, she transitioned to higher education, joining Mount St. Clare College in Iowa.

After seven years, Lisa and her family relocated to Tanzania, where she played a pivotal role in establishing the teacher education program at the country’s first private university. Following the graduation of her first cohort of students, she and her family moved to Chicago.

Lisa recently served for many years as the Education Program Director at Chicago Semester before relocating to her hometown of Clinton, IL, with her husband. She was thrilled to join À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ, where she continues her commitment to mentoring student teachers and advising and teaching education majors.
